ALTERNATIVE VOTING? BUT OF COURSE!

There has been a lot of talk about AV these days and we are all for it. It is the exact same system we
use to decide the winner of Foreign Tongues. You score each act in order of preference on a scale of 1 to 7
with 7 points going to the act you liked the best, 1 point to the act you didn't like so much and 3 or 4 points
to the act you thought was just okay. If you are into statistics you can see this is the best way to get an
overall idea of which act is the crowds true favourite. Also the votes are divided equally between the seven
countries which is in many ways is like a political riding, each one with a different set of data to work with.
That is why the satellite link and scoring portion of the show is so exciting!

So vote yes to AV simply beacuse it hopefully it might make politics as fun as Eurovision!!

ROMANIAN HIT FACTORY?

For ther first timer ever, Romania has entered Foreign Tongues!! And what an entry it is!
This act is called PSI which we think means "pounds per square inch". Not a lot of info came
with the press pack and our Romanian is a bit patchy but we think he worked in a car factory
where he must have been injured in some way. The only other information we received was
that PSI requested a jar of pickles for the backstage area. Your guess is as good as mine!

ARMENIAN LOVE AFFAIR!

We are extremely excited to announce that Armenia has entered Foreign Tongues for the first time!

This is Vartan. He is a goat herder who has recently taken the Armenian entertainment world by
storm with his passionate romantic balladry. Very little is known about Vartan. He is very reclusive and
has spent much of the past few years alone in the Armenian hills with his animals. Some say this is because
he was cast out of his village due to an inter species sex scandal. We at Hot Breath are never
ones to judge and are honoured to have him at this years show.

SWEDEN JOINS THE FOREIGN TONGUES RACE!

The second entry in Foreign Tongues 2011 comes from Sweden. They are called Sciatikus and
they are the most popular emotional rock band in all of Scandinavia. We have heard a rumour
that thousands of Swedish teenagers are planning to camp outside the Bethnal Green Working
Men's Club with hope of catching a glimpse of their idols before they perform their massive anthem
Syndrom of a Nothing. I hope the National Grid can handle the strain of all the hair straighteners.

Say wilkommen to Das Booty! They will be representing Germany in this years
Foreign Tongues Eurovision Spectacular!

She is a sweet milk maid from the hills and valleys of Bavaria, he is a "strasssewise"
rapper who likes bass in his face and schnitzel on his plate. The booty milk will be flowing
freely when Das Booty bring their unique unpasteurized oompah party music to the
Foreign Tongues stage. Get tutti fruitti! Go Das Booty!!
