DIY Lobster Shack!

It was Jennifer's sister Erika's birthday this week so we decided to turn the house into a windswept
beach cabin hideaway for a 3 course lobster feast. We purchased a bunch of fabrics from Hamid at
Ridley Road Market (if you're not buying from Hamid, your being ripped off) to make a red drenched
private dining room complete with lanterns made from polystyrene cups and kitchen wisks and lobster
themed place mats. I made the 4:30 AM pilgramge to Billingsgate with one thing on my mind: LOBSTERS

There were 7 of us dining so I bought 10 lobsters in total. 3 were used in the first and secong course.

THE MENU

FIRST COURSE : LOBSTER BISQUE WITH COGNAC AND CREAM, GARLIC TOAST

SECOND COURSE : LOBSTER SPAGHETTI WITH GARLIC, CHILI AND PROSECCO

THIRD COURSE : WHOLE LOBSTER (COLD) WITH GARLIC BUTTER, FRITES & ROCKET SALAD

It was all soundtracked by a special beachcomber mix featuring Arthur Lyman, Rod McKuen and Eden Ahbez.

The meal was truly incredible, the ambience was magical and we all forgot where we we're for the night.

Next time we'll have to invite Lekiddo!!
